CodeFast landing page converts like crazy: - $4.74 revenue per visitor - 2.2% conversion rate But one week ago when I sent the landing page to my friends @DanKulkov and @nico_jeannen... I got ROASTED. So I did a U-turn and rebuilt the website from scratch. Now I'm not "in my head" anymore, I can confidently say: The first version would have never worked as well as the current one. 💡 Two takeaways: 1. Always ask for feedback (and listen). It's painful, but it helps break the disillusion we create when we want something to succeed. 2. Encourage your friends to roast you. People are naturally kind and may hold back negative feedback. Let them know it's helpful if they focus more on the bad than the good.

Dan said he will shoot straight at the very beginning and that's exactly what he did! Honest, straight to the point advice. I watched it preparing to get lots of pointers on what I should change. Very helpful to get an honest feedback - looking outside in. Since as a maker working on the product it's easy to get lost in the details - always looking inside out.
